Large deposits of ledge and a steeply sloping site left an undeveloped lot in the middle of a sought after residential neighborhood, waiting for just the right buyer. When that buyer came along they turned to their design team to bring their modern and traditional blend of styles to life. Rather than fighting the natural conditions, the house was sited to minimize ledge removal and the rear yard terraced to take advantage of the sloping site. The design of the home itself is a blend of modern and tradition and a true representation of the clients’ sensibilities. The result is a refreshing take on traditional, suburban living. The design of this home has been recognized by multiple awards programs including the BRAGB Prism Awards, Clarke Kitchen Design, and the Best in American Living Awards.
