7th Annual AIA-CRAN Symposium

Jan Gleysteen (above right) recently attended the 7th Annual CRAN Symposium in Charleston, South Carolina where he was able to catch up with fellow New England architect and CRAN chair David Andreozzi (above center). The symposium was organized by the AIA's Custom Residential Architect Network and focused on the "Architecture of Influence" – the importance of history and context on residential design. In addition to lectures and roundtable discussions, the annual symposium conducted tours of homes in historic Charleston and Kiawah Island. The sold out CRAN Symposium brought together residential architects from around the country.

CRAN is a knowledge community within the AIA focusing the field of custom residential architecture. They are working to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise for the professional development of its members.
